THE RECENT COLLAPSE OF TMD caused not only a major trade distribution crisis but also left many Christian retailers wondering what was to become of their stock control and ordering system, Synergi, which had been custom developed for TMD trade customers and was made available free of charge in July 2010.
Today, the answer has emerged: BookSolve, one of the leading providers of stock management systems, EPOS and e-commerce solutions for the booktrade, have announced the purchase of Synergi from the TMD administrators, offering a firm commitment “to supporting everyone possible in the Christian Book Trade, now and into the future” and reassurance that the package will remain “a robust and low cost option for many years to come.”
Details of pricing have yet to be finalised and will be circulated to all users in due course. When pressed on the question, however, Stewart Hodges, Sales Manager, said that he didn’t anticipate any nasty surprises.
